JUNE

 

Psalms 16:5-8 "The Lord himself is my inheritance, my prize.  He is my food and drink, my highest joy!  He guards all that is mine.  He sees that I am given pleasant brooks and meadows as my share!  What a wonderful inheritance!  I will bless the Lord who counsels me; he gives me wisdom in the night.  He tells me what to do.  I am always thinking of the Lord; and because he is so near, I never need to stumble or to fall.

1 John 3:23-24 "And this is what God says we must do:  Believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another.  Those who do what God says - they are living with God and he with them.  We know this is true because the Holy Spirit he has given us tells us so."

Psalms 51:10 "Create in me a new clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires."

John 8:31-32 "...."You are my disciples if you live as I tell you to, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

MARCH, 2007:

Luke 17: 3-4 ".......Rebuke your brother if he sins, and forgive him if he is sorry. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, forgive him."

James 1:12 "Happy is the man who doesn't give in and do wrong when he is tempted, for afterwards he will get as his reward the crown of life that God has promised those who love him."

1 Samuel 2:6-9 "The Lord kills, The Lord gives life.  Some he causes to be poor and others to be rich.  He cuts one down and lifts another up, He lifts the poor from the dust - yes, from a pile of ashes - and treats them as princes sitting in the seats of honor, for all the earth is the Lord's and He has set the world in order.  He will protect His godly ones, but the wicked shall be silenced in darkness, no one shall succeed by strength alone."

Matthew 18:2-4 "Jesus called a small child over to him and set the little fellow down among them, and said, "Unless you turn to God from your sins and become as little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore anyone who humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

Luke 15:3-7 "If you had a hundred sheep and one of them strayed away and was lost in the wilderness, wouldn't you leave the ninety-nine others to go and search for the lost one until you found it?  And then you would joyfully carry it home on your shoulders.  When you arrived you would call together your friends and neighbors to rejoice with you because your lost sheep was found.   Well, in the same way heaven will be happier over one lost sinner who returns to God than over ninety-nine others who haven't strayed away!"

Proverbs 14:23 "Work brings profit; talk brings poverty!"

Jude 1:22-23 "Try to help those who argue against you.  Be merciful to those who doubt.  Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself.  And as for others, help them to find the Lord by being kind to them, but be careful that you yourselves aren't pulled along into their sins.  Hate every trace of their sin while being merciful to them as sinners."

Jude 1:20-21 "But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.  Stay always within the boudnaries where God's love can reach and bless you.  Wait patiently for the eternal life that our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy is going to give you."

Luke 12:58-59 "If you meet your accuser on the way to court, try to settle the matter before it reaches the judge, lest he sentence you to jail; for if that happens, you won't be free again until the last penny is paid in full."

Jonah 2:8-9 "Those who worship false gods have turned their backs on all the mercies waiting for them from the Lord!  I will never worship anyone but you!  For how can I thank you enough for all you have done?  I will surely fulfill my promises.  For my deliverance comes from the Lord alone."

Job 5:17-19 "How enviable the man whom God corrects!  Oh, do not despise the chastening of the Lord when you sin.  For though he wounds, he binds and heals again.  He will deliver you again and again so that no evil can touch you."

Hosea 6: 3 "Oh that we might know the Lord!  Let us press on to know Him, and He will respond to us as surely as the coming of dawn or the rain of early spring."

Matthew 19:30 "But many who are first now will be last then; and some who are last now will be first then."

2 Corinthians 10:11-12 "Yes, God will give you much so that you can give away much, and when we take your gifts to those who need them they will break out into thanksgiving and praise to God for your help.   So two good things happen as a result of your gifts - those in need are helped, and they overflow with thanks to God."

JANUARY, 2007

Psalms 149:4-5 "For Jehovah enjoys His people; he will save the humble.  Let His people rejoice in this honor.  Let them sing for joy as they lie upon their beds."

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 "What a wonderful God we have - he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials.   And why does he do this?  So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us."

Psalms 39:12 "Hear my prayer, O Lord: listen to my cry!  Don't sit back, unmindful of my tears.  For I am your guest.  I am a traveler passing through the earth, as all my fathers were."

2 Chronicles 6:14 "O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven and earth.  You are the God who keeps his kind promises to all those who obey you and who are anxious to do your will."

OCTOBER, 2006:

Philippians 2:3 "With humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves."

Isaiah 64:8 "You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand."

SEPTEMBER, 2006:

2 Corinthians 8:10 "I want to suggest that you finish what you started to do a year ago, for you were not only the first to propose this idea, but the first to begin doing something about it.   Having started the ball rolling so enthusiastically, you should carry this project through to completion just as gladly, giving whatever you can out of whatever you have.  Let your enthusiastic idea at the start be equalled by your realistic action now.

1 Peter 2:18 "Be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are unreasonable."

1 Corinthians 1:18-19 "I know very well how foolish it sounds to those who are lost, when they hear that Jesus died to save them.  But we who are saved recognize this message as the very power of God.  For God says, "I will destroy all human plans of salvation no matter how wise they seem to be, and ignore the best ideas of men, even the most brilliant of them."

Luke 11:33-36 "No one lights a lamp and hides it!  Instead, he puts it on a lampstand to give light to all who enter the room.  Your eyes light up your inward being, a pure eye lets sunshine into your soul.  A lustful eye shuts out the light and plunges you into darkness.  So watch out that the sunshine isn't blotted out.  If you are filled with light within, with no dark corners, then your face will be radiant too, as though a floodlight is beamed upon you."

JUNE, 2006

Isaiah 35:4 "Say to those with anxious heart, "Take courage, fear not, Behold, your God....will save you."

 

Philippians 4:4-5 "Always be full of joy in the Lord; I say it again, rejoice!  Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do.  Remember that the Lord is coming soon."

 

1 John 2:27 "But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, in your hearts, so that you don't need anyone to teach you what is right.  For he teaches you all things, and he is the Truth, and no liar; and so, just as he has said, you must live in Christ, never to depart from him."
